Camphor @ 15.3%
There are 3 main chemotypes of R. officinalis
- Camphor-borneol (Spain) – This is what RVA offers
- 1,8-cineole (Tunisia)
- Verbenone (France)
It is also important to note that there are significant differences in chemical composition of Rosemary depending on where the plant was grown, time of year and phase of growing cycle.

Avoid during pregnancy (camphor)
Avoid if diabetic, epileptic or have any Cardiac condition (high blood Pressure) (camphor)
Do not apply or use around children, especially near or on face
May be neurotoxic based on camphor content

Oil & Aromatic Description: Pale yellow to almost clear / colorless thin liquid. Aroma of top note is strong, camphor like, clean into a fresh woody, herbaceous body then smoother herbaceous base or dry note. Each chemotype has a different aroma profile.

Method of Extraction: Steam distilled
Parts Used: leaves, flowers and twigs of Rosemary officinalis and other sub varieties. Tunisian oil does not contain twigs which results in more stable, consistent chemical composition.
